Indian Rupee down by 5 paise against USD
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Monday declined by five paise to at 71.17 against the greenback on rising demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, the dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit that eased by one paisa to 71.13 in opening trade, finished negative at 71.17, sliding by five paise as compared to its last close.
The domestic unit recorded day high and low at 71.20 and 71.12 respectively.
The Rupee remained weak on strong Dollar against other world currencies alongwith weak equity market, they added.
