Indian Market: Sensex zooms 1054 pts

Mumbai/UNI: BSE Sensex zoomed by 1054 pts to open at 31,656.68 ahead of RBI policy amid firm global cues.

Nifty of national stock exchange too surged by 331 pts to 9323.41 with an intraday high and low at 9324 and 9252 respectively.

Sensex registered intraday high and low at 31,711.70 and 31,512.11 pts respectively.

Sectorial indices like Finance IT power and realty lifted the market.

The gainers were TCS by 7.55pc to Rs 1845.15, Bajaj finance by 6.62pc to Rs 2368.70, ICICI Bank by 6.59pc to Rs 364.85.
