Indian Market: Sensex rallied over 200 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday rallied further by 235 pts to 38,285.14 on the strength of Realty, Consumer Durable, Energy and Materials stocks.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too rose by 63 pts to 11,311.

The sectoral indices include, Realty, Consumer Durable, Energy and Materials stocks kept the market strong for another day today.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 38,285.14 and 38,062.01 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 11,319.85 and 11,253.15 respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up by 0.61 pc and Small Cap by 0.77 pc.

In 30 scrips, 22 advanced while 8 declined.

The gainers were ONGC by 1.95 pc to Rs 80.85, Reliance Industries by 1.65 pc to Rs 2126, ICICI Bank by 1 pc to Rs 363.85, Infosys by 0.80 pc to Rs 965.15 and M& M by 0.91 pc to Rs 629.15.

The losers were Tata Steel by 1.06 pc to Rs 420.45, Powergrid by 0.95 pc to Rs 176.95, IndusInd Bank by 0.64 pc to Rs 509.70, Axis Bank by 0.27 pc to Rs 436.55 and SBI by 0.16 pc to Rs 192.75.
