Indian market: Sensex bounces back by 290.36 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday jumped by 290.36 pts to close positive at 34,247.05 on fresh buying in Realty, Bankex, Finance and Energy stocks.

The nifty of national stock exchange too jumped by 69.50 pts to 10,116.15.

The nifty registered days high and low at 10,148.75 and 10,036.85 respectively.

Tumbling down by 413 pts on Tuesday, the day opened in green, as the Sensex was up by 83 pts to 34,029.14. It rallied by 394 pts to 34,350.17 days high before closing at 34,247.05, advancing by 290.36 pts from its previous close.

Meanwhile, it fell by 93 pts to 33,949.46, days low.

The sectoral indices like Realty, Bankex, Finance, Energy and Health-Care lifted the market. In scrips, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Bank, Reliance industries, HDFC, Axis Bank and SBI gave support to rise the market.

However, selling in Auto, Metal, Oil and Gas and Capital Goods capped from further gains, broker informed.

Scrips include HeroMoto Corp, Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, ONGC and Titan declined today.

The Mid cap rose by 0.81 pc and small cap by 0.92 pc.

In 30 scrips, 17 advanced while 13 declined.
