Bharti Airtel's net profit in Q2 records 65.4% fall

Mumbai, Oct 25 (IBNS): Telecom giant Bharti Airtel has recorded a fall by 65.4% in its net profit in the second quarter of the ongoing fiscal year.

The dip has been recorded in the July-September quarter.

The company has recorded a net profit of Rs. 118.8 crore as compared to Rs. 343 crore in the corresponding period last year.

The revenue has also gone down from previous year's Rs. 21,776.9 to latest Rs. 20,422.5 crore.

Gopal Vittal, MD and CEO, India and South Asia, Bharti Airtel, has been quoted by NDTV as saying, "Led by our focus on quality customers through simplified pricing and content partnerships, ARPU decline has moderated in this quarter. We remain focused on driving quality base growth with value adding propositions for our customers."
