Jammu/UNI: Security forces on Thursday launched a search operation after drone dropping was reported close to an international border in Ramgarh sector of Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Drone dropping is reported in Ramgarh sector and a packet of consignment has been seized," a senior police officer confirmed.

He added that during the search, a packet was recovered which contained two pistols, four magazines, 60 rounds, Indian currency (approximately Rs 5 lakh), two batteries, a detonator and two improvised explosive devices.

Notably, on Tuesday, BSF troops neutralised one Pakistani intruder and nabbed another in Jammu and Samba belts. Detained Pakistani national was repatriated on Wednesday.

Meanwhile searches were already being carried out along the border belts.
