Himachal Pradesh: Police seize huge cache of Charas in Kullu

Shimla: Anti-drug sleuths of Kullu- Manali police seized a huge consignment of contraband charas from a peddler who was nabbed by the alert police jawan when he was fleeing the spot.

SP Kullu Sakshi Verma has confirmed that the accused was been booked under various sections of NDPD Act.

She said police had set a Nakka near Haripur College near Kullu at 12.20 am on Monday.

Peddlers carrying huge consignments of narcotics tried to flee from the spot as police personnel saw him.

Police jawans chased him and recovered 5.70 kilograms Charas from him.

The accused has been identified as Kamlesh Kumar (24,) a resident of Pini Talpini village of Post Office Kashladi of Bhuntar Tehsil (Kullu district).
