US University Shooting
US: Mass shooting at Oklahoma State University injures three
At least three people were injured after a shooting occurred outside the residential hall at Oklahoma State University, US, media reports said.
No arrests have been made so far.
"Based on the investigation thus far, it appears that there was a large off-campus party at the Payne County Expo Center. When that party ended around 2:30 a.m., a group of individuals came to campus to have an 'after party'," OSU police said in a statement.
Police said investigators have indicated that the shots were fired outside of Carreker East hall as a result of a disagreement between individuals.
"No shots were fired inside the hall," police said in a statement.
"Officers at Carreker secured the scene and determined there was no ongoing threat to campus," the statement said.
The police identified one of the injured persons as a student of the university.
"One victim, the OSU student, was taken by private vehicle to Stillwater Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. After delivering him at SMC, the vehicle left the scene. The victim was mediflighted to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and is in stable condition," police said.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is collaborating with the OSUPD in processing evidence from the scene at Carreker.
