Unknown men kill military affairs expert Zalmai Wardak in Kabul

Kabul, Aug 10 (IBNS): Unknown men killed military affairs expert General Zalmai Wardak in Afghanistan's Kabul city on Thursday, media reports said on Friday.

The incident occurred in Kat-i-Parwan area of the capital city.

The gunmen broke into Wardak’s house in the limits of the second police district of Kabul and killed him before fleeing, Kabul police spokesman Hashmat Stanikzai to Afghanistan's Pajhwok Afghan News.

Police have started investigating into the matter.

Wardak was also a candidate in the upcoming parliamentary elections from Kabul
