Thirty Hindus, including women and children, held hostage in Pakistan, rights panel 'alarmed'

Pakistan's rights panel has said it is alarmed by reports of deteriorating law and order in the districts of Kashmore and Ghotki in Sindh, where 30 members of the Hindu community - including women and children - have allegedly been held hostage, media reports said.

" HRCP is alarmed by reports of deteriorating law and order in the districts of Kashmore and Ghotki in Sindh, where some 30 members of the Hindu community - including women and children - have allegedly been held hostage by organised criminal gangs," tweeted Human Rights Commission of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, two Hindu temples were desecrated in the country in the past 24 hours.

The first incident occurred in Karachi, where the historic Mari Mata Temple in Soldier Bazaar was demolished overnight, leaving the outer walls and main gate intact.

The second incident took place in Kashmore, where a gang of dacoits attacked a temple and adjoining homes belonging to Hindus using firearms, including reported "rocket launchers." Thankfully, no casualties were reported in either incident as the temple in Kashmore was closed at the time of the attack, reported The Dawn.
