Taliban attacks check-post in Afghanistan's Paktika province, three cops killed

Kabul, May 18 (IBNS): In an attack by Taliban terrorists at a check-post in southeastern Paktika province of Afghanistan, at least three policemen have been killed, media reports said on Friday.

The Taliban stormed the police checkpoint in the Hasti area of Janikhel district late Wednesday night, a relative of one of the victims told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The incident left three policemen injured.

Malik Sardar Khan, a tribal elder from the area, has confirmed the incident to the Afghanistan based news agency.

Bodies of the killed policemen have been handed over to their relatives.

The Taliban has not commented on the issue so far.
