Suspected dacoits gun down PPP leader in Pakistan

Suspected dacoits shot dead a local  Pakistan Peoples Party leader in Pakistan's Khuzdar town on Sunday, media reports said.

The deceased person was identified as  Haji Ali Hassan Mohammad Hasni.

Police told Dawn News the suspected attackers barged into the house of the PPP leader in Bazgir area on the outskirts of Khuzdar town, and took all family members hostage in the early hours of Sunday morning.

They looted gold ornaments, mobile phones and other valuables from the house of the PPP leader, the police said.

The dacoits shot dead the PPP leader while leaving the house.

“It appears to be an incident of dacoity,” police officer Abdul Aziz Khadrani told Dawn News.

However, the police officer did not rule out target killing chances.

The politician's family members, after being handed over to them, staged protest at the National Highway.

The protesters blocked traffic between Khuzdar and Karachi.
