Sam Altman feels more proud about progress of his newborn than Open AI's success

Open AI boss Sam Altman, who welcomed his child recently, said he feels more proud seeing his 'preemie baby' learning how to eat on his own than the accomplishments of his tech firm.

In his X post, new father Sam Altman said: "Very proud of the openai team for what is perhaps the most impressive scientific/technical breakthrough of recent decades."

"Thought that was the thing I'd always be most proud of in life," Sam wrote in his emotional post.

He further said, "Turns out I am now more proud of a preemie baby for learning how to eat on his own!"
Premature Birth

Last month, Sam Altman announced the birth of his baby boy.

He said his son had arrived early and needed to spend some time in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

"Welcome to the world, little guy!" he had written on X on February 23, announcing the birth of the son.

"He came early and is going to be in the nicu for a while. He is doing well and it’s really nice to be in a little bubble taking care of him," he said.

"I have never felt such love," he said.

Altman is married to software engineer Oliver Mulherin.
