Russia destroyed Ukrainian ammunition depots: Moscow

| @indiablooms | Apr 13, 2022, at 01:40 am

MoscowIBNS//UNI/Sputnik: The Russian armed forces have destroyed two more ammunition depots and a hangar with aircraft in the Khmelnytskyi and Kyiv regions of Ukraine overnight with 'high-precision missiles', Russian Defence Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Tuesday.

"During the night, high-precision air and sea-based missiles destroyed an ammunition depot and a protected hangar with Ukrainian aircraft at the Starokostiantyniv military airfield in the Khmelnytskyi region, as well as an ammunition depot near the settlement of Havrylivka, Kyiv region," Konashenkov said.

This comes amid growing international calls for a war crimes investigation into the killing of civilians in the Ukrainian town of Bucha.

UN chief António Guterres had stated that an independent probe was needed to guarantee effective accountability.

This followed shocking images from Bucha on the outskirts of Kyiv that showed hundreds of dead people, some with bullet wounds and their hands tied behind their backs and others burned or in mass graves, in areas previously under the control of Russian troops.
