His funeral prayers were held at the Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines and were attended by Capital City Police Officer Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed, Chief Traffic Officer Dr Zahidullah, SSP Operations Farhan Khan, and senior military, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and police officials, Dawn reported.

The incident took place in the Mattani area, where police later claimed to have killed three suspected murderers, including two Afghan nationals, during an exchange of fire.
