At least four passengers died when a passenger van collided with a truck amid dense fog in the Choonawala area of Pakistan on Monday.

According to reports, seven people were hurt in the incident.

Rescue 1122 said the incident occurred due to dense fog, reported Saama TV.

The deceased included a six-year-old and a nine-year-old, who were siblings, according to the rescue service, Xinhua reported.

Road accidents frequently happen in Pakistan, mainly due to poorly maintained vehicles, dilapidated roads and negligence of road safety measures.
