Pakistan: Lahore explosion kills 7

Lahore, Feb 23 (IBNS): At least seven people were killed in an explosion in Pakistan's Lahore city on Thursday, media reports said.

The explosion left 17 others injured.

" Four cars and 12 motorcycles were also damaged as a result of the blast while the windows of nearby buildings were shattered," Geo News reported.

Injured people were rushed to hospitals for treratment.

The official Punjab government twitter account said a generator explosion had occurred.

"Clarification on Lahore Y block blast: It's a generator blast and rescue team has reached the site. Please spread this," read the tweet.
