Pakistan: Khyber SHO, son arrested with 13kg heroin

Peshawar: Pakistani police on Tuesday arrested  a station house officer belonging to the Khyber district and his son, also a policeman, and  13 kilogrammes of heroin was recovered from them, media reports said on Friday.

A statement issued here said that Mohammad Shuaib, serving as SHO Mullagori police station in Khyber, and his son Abiduallah were trying to smuggle the contraband in a vehicle, reports Dawn News.

The police intercepted the arrested people close to the  Pir Zakori Flyover.

The statement said that Capital City Police Officer Mohammad Ijaz Khan suspended the SHO and his son after the development, saying that there was no place for the black sheep in the police department.

He also ordered departmental action against the suspended officials.
