Pakistan: Grenade attack leaves 17 people injured

Dera Mura Jamali: A grenade attack incident in Pakistan's Dera Allahyar town of Jaffarabad left at least 17 people, including two policemen, injured, media reports said on Monday.

The police told Dawn News unknown motorcyclists hurled a hand-grenade near Subatpur Chowk, which exploded and injured 17 people, including two traffic police constables.

Security personnel rushed to the spot after the attack.

The injured people were rushed to hospital for treatment.

“We have shifted the critically injured people to Larkana,” a senior police officer told Dawn News, adding that the cops could be the target of the attack.

Police have ordered a probe into the incident.

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.`
