Pakistan: Four die as blast occurs inside Balochistan market

Quetta: An explosion occurred inside  Rakhni market in Balochistan’s Barkhan region in Pakistan on Sunday which left at least four people dead on Sunday.

The blast left 14 others injured.

Barkhan District Health Officer Dr Abdul Hameed confirmed the death toll to Dawn News, adding that the injured persons had been moved to the Rakhni Hospital.

According to Barkhan Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Khoso, the blast occurred when an improvised explosive device (IED), planted on a motorcycle, exploded.

Police reached the spot and cordoned off the area.

“Teams have begun collecting evidence from the site,” he told the newspaper.

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
