Pakistan: Explosion of old mortar kills 3 children in Swat

Swat, Nov 21 (IBNS):  An old mortar shell exploded in Pakistan's Swat’s Matta Tehsil area which left a least three children killed, media reports said.

The incident left one child injured.

They were reportedly playing with it when the explosion occurred, reports said.

According to the police, the children, who all belonged to the same family, were playing with the mortar shell in a field when it exploded, killing them on the spot, reported Geo News.

The injured child was shifted to Matta Hospital for treatment. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
