Pakistan: Death toll in Orakzai blast touches 33

Islamabad, Nov 24 (IBNS): The death toll in the suicide blast which hit a local market in lower Orakzai district of Pakistan has touched 33, media reports said on Saturday.

The death toll in the blast, which took place on Friday, increased after two more people succumbed to injury in a local hospital.

According to the Commissioner Kohat Division Khalid Iqbal, three Sikh traders were also among the deceased, Geo News reported.

Following the blast, 56 people are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Karachi Attack:

On the same day, at least two security officials were killed when terrorists tried to enter the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi’s Clifton area.

Security forces killed the three attackers.
