One of the seven Indian nationals kidnapped in Afghanistan returns home: MEA

Kabul, Mar 19 (IBNS):  One of the seven Indian nationals, who was kidnapped in Baghlan province of Afghanistan in May 2018, has safely returned to India, Ministry of External Affairs confirmed on Monday.

"We are grateful to the Government of Afghanistan for their support in securing the release and repatriation of the Indian national," read the statement issued by the ministry.

India said it will continue to work with the Afghanistan government to ensure the safe return of the remaining six people.

"We continue to work closely with the Government of Afghanistan for safe and early return of the remaining six Indian nationals," read the statement.
