The incident took place on Eglinton Avenue near Bermondsey Road after 6 p.m.

Details regarding the age and the gender of the victim were not provided at that time.

Police in their preliminary reports said multiple gunshots were heard.

“They were very loud,” Lamourie told the news channel.
