Nepal records 259 new cases, 65 recoveries, one fatality

Kathmandu/UNI: Nepal’s Health Ministry said that the country on Tuesday recorded 259 new cases of COVID-19, taking the nation's tally to 21,009.

The country also recorded 65 recoveries in the same period taking the national total to 15,026.

With one more fatality, the total number of deaths in the country rose to 58.

As of Tuesday Nepal had conducted 406,494 tests through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method and 7,687 PCR tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, The Himalayan Times reports.

At present, there are 10,452 people under quarantine in various facilities across the country while 5,925 people are in isolation, receiving treatment.
