Maryam Nawaz Sharif slams Imran Khan on his ‘my name is Khan’ tweet

Islamabad, Jan 3 (IBNS): Exchanging Twitter barbs,  Daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader, Maryam Nawaz Sharif has reacted to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan's 'My Name is Khan' tweet and called him a 'stooge'.

Sharif reacted to Khan's reaction on the social media and tweeted: "My name is Khan and I am a STOOGE."

Things started when Tuesday after bail appeal in all four cases regarding an attack on Pakistan Television (PTV) headquarters in 2014 was accepted by a court here.

The bail of the former cricketer was accepted by an anti-terrorism court (ATC).

ATC judge Shahrukh Arjumand granted bail to Khan.

"The decision proves that I am sadiq (truthful) and ameen (righteous), not a terrorist," Imran Khan was quoted as saying by Geo News.

"I am a ladla [darling] of the law because I abide by it," he said.

The PTI leader is one of the accused in the four cases related to the 2014 attack that took place during the party's dharna in the capital. Khan, in December 2017, had moved the court for the case to be transferred to a civil court, but his request had been turned down, reported Geo News.

Imran Khan later took to Twitter and reacted on the decision as he said: "My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist. Moreover, the SC has pronounced me Sadiq and Ameen and I am coming after them crooks!"

Khan used the popular dialogue from Shah Rukh Khan's popular movie My Name in Khan while giving his reaction to the bail order.
