London Mayor Sadiq Khan arrives in Pakistan

Lahore, Dec 6 (IBNS); London Mayor Sadiq Khan on Wednesday reached Pakistan.

The visit of Khan is a part of his 'London is Open' campaign, media reports said.

He visited Pakistan after completing his trip to India.

Khan was received on the Pakistani side of the border by Mayor Lahore Col (retd) Mubashar and senior government officials, Geo News reported.

Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif also welcomed the London Mayor to the country and tweeted :"We welcome Mayor @SadiqKhan from the historic city of London to the historic city of Lahore ."

Khan, earlier in the day, visited Golden Temple in Punjab.

Sharing images from the trip, he tweeted: "Honour to visit the most sacred place in the world for the Sikh faith - the beautiful Golden Temple here in Amritsar, India. ."
