The three sides agreed that China, Pakistan and Afghanistan are each other's important neighbours.

"For Pakistan and Afghanistan to enhance mutual trust and cooperation serves the shared interests of both countries and other countries in the region. China will continue to firmly support Pakistan and Afghanistan in improving relations and will play a positive role in this regard," said a statement issued by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The three sides agreed that peace and reconstruction in Afghanistan bears on Afghanistan's fundamental national interests as well as to regional peace and stability. The three sides call on the international community to truly honour assistance commitments to Afghanistan. China and Pakistan will continue to provide help in their own ways to this end.
