Kandahar Attack: 3 suspects detained

Kabul, Oct 20 (IBNS): The Ministry of Interior (MoI)  of Afghanistan on Friday said three people have been detained in connection to Kandahar attack.

A day earlier, Kandahar police chief, Gen. Abdul Raziq, provincial National Directorate of Security (NDS) chief and Gen. Abdul Momin Hussainkhel were killed and several other people including Governor Zalmai Wesa wounded in an insider attack during a high level security meeting late on Thursday, Pajhwok Afghan News reported.

Nasrat Rahimi, deputy MoI spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that police have so far detained three suspects in connection to Kandahar attack.

The identities of the detained people are still not known.

Interrogation of the suspect is currently going on.
