Kabul: Gunmen kill Logar Provincial Council Member

Kabul/IBNS: Unknown gunmen killed a member of the provincial council of Logar province  in Afghanistan's Kabul city on Sunday, media reports said.

The deceased person was identified as Nasir Ghairat. 

The incident happened in the Kart-e-Naw area in PD8 of Kabul city after Ghairat left his home and gunmen opened fire on his vehicle. Ghairat and two of his bodyguards were killed, according to police, Tolo News reported.

Police said the incident is under investigation.

No one has been arrested so far.

No group claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
