Moscow, Apr 30 (Sputnik/UNI) Julian Assange, the co-founder of WikiLeaks whistleblowing website, will be sentenced at 9:30 GMT on Wednesday at Southwark Crown Court over breaching bail conditions, WikiLeaks said.

Crown Court over breaching bail conditions, WikiLeaks said.

"Julian Assange will be sentenced at Southwark Crown Court at 10:30AM [9:30 GMT] tomorrow for 'violating his bail conditions' whilst seeking & obtaining political asylum. On Thursday at 10AM there will be a hearing in Westminster Magistrate Court on the US extradition request," WikiLeaks said on Twitter.

Earlier in April, the UK police arrested Assange who had been residing in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for years for fear of extradition to the United States. WikiLeaks has published a large number of purportedly US government's classified documents.
