Eight detained after children's bodies found in China's Henan

Zhengzhou/Xinhua/UNI: Eight suspects were under criminal detention after four children's bodies were found in an earth dump in central China's Henan Province, according to local authorities.

Bodies of the four children between 6 to 10 years old were unearthed in a residential community in Yuanyang County on Saturday. The children were from a neighboring village.

An initial investigation found that the children might have got in the community under construction through broken fencing and been buried by dumping earth.

The suspects, including directors of the construction project and the excavator driver, were detained for further investigation, according to the local police.
