Dhaka: A Dhaka court has issued an arrest warrant against Bangladeshi cricketer Al-Amin Hossain for non-appearance in a case related to domestic violence filed by his wife, media reports said on Wednesday.

Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Md Tofazzal Hossain passed the order since Al-Amin did not appear before the court during Wednesday’s hearing, reports Dhaka Tribune.

Al-Amin's legal counsel Abdur Rahman told Dhaka Tribune that the accused was participating in a four-day match of the National Cricket League in Khulna which started on October 10.

The accused had earlier got bail through his lawyer on Oct 6.

He also submitted a written statement to the court, claiming he divorced his wife on Aug 25.
