Dhaka building fire kills 24

Dhaka, Sept 10 (IBNS): At least 24 people were killed as a massive fire broke out at a a garment packaging factory in Gazipur district of Bangladesh on Saturday, media reports said.

The fire spread across the five-storey factory building of Tampaco Foils Ltd after a boiler exploded around 6am on Saturday, bdnews24.com reported.

At least 25 firefighting units are currently attempting to bring the fire under control.

The fire has even led to the partial collapse of the building.

The injured people have been taken to different hospitals for treatment.

The cause of the  fire is still not known.
