| @indiablooms | Jun 12, 2022, at 12:57 pm

Kabul/UNI: At least six people were killed and two others were injured in a car explosion in the Afghan capital, eyewitnesses told Sputnik.

The blast occurred on Saturday in the Ahmad Shah Baba Mina neighbourhood in eastern Kabul.

Eyewitnesses told Sputnik that a bomb was planted in a car.

Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

In May 2021, the Taliban (under UN sanctions for terrorist activities) launched a military operation against the Afghan government forces in connection with the announcement of the final withdrawal of the US troops from the country after 20 years of occupation.

On August 15, the Taliban took control of Kabul and seized power in the country.
