Canada: Mutilated body of person found in B.C. roadside

Langley, Oct 28 (IBNS): A gruesome crime was being investigated by the B.C. Police after they found the human remains by the side of the road in Langley.

Police reported they that they needed more of the body's remains to identify him.

“This, no doubt, is a gruesome event that took place,” Cpl. Meghan Foster, of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said at a news conference Wednesday.

Investigators were of the view that the killing was linked to gang activity and was targeted.

But they were unsure where the killing had happened.

They believed that after the killing the mutilated body of the man was transported to the roadside overnight.

The police were in look out for potential witnesses to come forward.

Ken Reid, who was delivering newspapers in the area around 3 a.m. told the police authorities that he spotted the driver of a white Mercedes SUV behaving strangely on the street where the body was later discovered.

Reid thought the driver looked suspicious, “Like they’re looking for a dump site, and I kind of ruined it for them because I was there,” Reid told CTV Vancouver.

Investigations by the police are in progress.
