Bangladesh: Women's football team captain’s house attacked, 2 arrested

Dhaka/IBNS: A neighbour of Bangladesh women’s football team captain Sabina Khatun attacked her house in Sabujbagh area of the country, media reports said.

Confirming the matter, Satkhira Sadar police station officer-in-charge Md Aktharuzzaman told Dhaka Tribune the incident took place on Sunday evening. 

Two people have been arrested in connection with the attack.

He told the newspaper during the attack, Sabina Khatun and her sister Salma Khatun were injured and police arrested two people, identified as Emon Hossain and Lata Khatun, in connection with the incident. 

The cause of the attack is still not known.
