Bangladesh: Three people die in septic tank explosion

Dhaka/UNI: Three people including two brothers were killed in a septic tank explosion at Bandar upazila in Narayanganj district on Friday morning in Bangladesh.

The deceased were identified as Masnun, 13, his brother Jisan, 8 and 8-month pregnant woman Laboni, 30.

The incident took place at a five-storey building named “Rabeya Manjil” at Mollabari area around 6am, said Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bandar Police Station.

Two minor brothers died on the spot while six others were injured in the explosion. Later, Laboni died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the OC added.

However, Bandar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shukla Sarker visited the spot and sealed off two damaged houses.
