Bangladesh tailor death: Three detained

Dhaka, May 1 (IBNS): Three people have been detained in connection with the killing of a Hindu tailor in Tangail city of Bangladesh on Saturday, media reports said on Sunday.

The detained includes a local Jamaat leader.

The detainees are Badsa Miah, Jamaat secretary of Gopalpur municipal unit, Aminul Islam, principal of Alamnagar Madrasa, and local BNP activist Jhantu, The Daily Star reported.

Two cases have been filed in connection with the murder at  Gopalpur Police Station.

The deceased person's wife Arati Joardar on Saturday filed a murder case against three unidentified assailants.

The other case was filed under Arms and Explosive Substances Act by the police.

The deceased identified as Nikhil Joarder, was stabbed in head, neck and other parts of the body, reports said.

According to reports,  three bike riders along with machetes hacked the victim to death while he was in his tailoring shop.
