Bangladesh: Road accident in Faridpur kills 2

Dhaka, June 1 (IBNS): A bus and a truck collided in Bangladesh's Faridpur city and left at least two people killed, media reports said.

The mishap reportedly left two others injured.

The accident took place on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway in the Purba Gangabardi neighbourhood on Saturday, firefighter Md Nurul Alam Dulal at Fadirpur Fire Service and Civil Defence told newsportal  bdnews24.

A victim of the tragedy was identified as truck driver Islam from Magura.

The identity of the other person is not known so far.

The injured people were rushed to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for treatment.

"A Dhaka-bound bus operated by Banoful Paribahan collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction, killing two on the scene,” Alam told the news portal.
