Bangladesh: Road accident claims 13 lives

Dhaka, Aug 25 (IBNS): A bus collided with a human hauler in Bangladesh city of Natore, leaving at least 13 people killed on Saturday, media reports said.

The mishap occurred on the Natore-Pabna highway.

As per media reports, the deceased people were passengers of the human hauler.

The identities of the 13 people are still not known.

The accident took place at around 4:00pm as the Rangpur-bound bus of Challenger Paribahan collided with the human hauler coming from opposite direction at Clickmore area on the highway, Shamsur Noor, officer-in-charge of Banpara Highway Police station told The Daily Star.

A team of Fire Service and Civil Defence and several teams of police from Lalpur Police Station and Banpara Highway Police Station went to the spot after the mishap and carried out the rescue operation.

The injured people have been rushed to different hospitals for treatment.
