Bangladesh: Police arrest 12 Jamaat-e-Islami activists

Feni: Bangladesh police recently arrested 12 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami on charges of conspiring anti-state activities.

They were arrested at a time when they were holding a meeting in Feni on Saturday.

They were detained along with five crude bombs, various books, leaflets, banners, computers, laptops, photocopy machines from the office of Feni district Jamaat unit, reports Dhaka Tribune.

The arrestees include- Mohammad Shafiullah, 53, Mostafa Azim, 40, Mohammad Shah Alam, 48, Monir Hossain, 41, Abu Taher, 54, Abdul Motaleb, 38, Md Salahuddin, 32, Alamgir, 40, Abdul Mateen, 44 and Zakir Hossen, 35.
