Bangladesh: Knife attack at Dhaka airport kills 1

Dhaka, Nov 6 (IBNS): A knife attack incident in Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport left one security personnel killed and three others injured on Sunday, media reports said.

According to reports, a knife-wielding man attacked security personnel who were  posted at the entrance to the departure lounge in the airport, triggering panic in the evening.

The attacker was later detained.

His identity is still not known.

The motive of the attack is not clear.

"Two Ansar personnel and two APBn members came under attack. They had been taken to the Kurmitola General Hospital. One of the Ansar members' condition is critical," Rashedul Islam, the chief of APBn unit posted at the airport, told bdnews24.com
