Dhaka, Sept 6 (IBNS): Giving relief to the makers of the film, Bangladesh on Friday lifted a ban imposed on release and screening of a movie Rana Plaza.

The film is based on the collapse of Rana Plaza building close to Bangladesh capital Dhaka in 2013 which had killed 1,135 people.

The Supreme Court on Sunday lifted the ban.

"The four-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha stayed a High Court order that issued a ban on screening of the movie. The apex court passed the order in response to a petition filed by producer of the movie Shamima Akhter challenging the HC order," The Daily Star reported.
