Dhaka, June 14 (IBNS): Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina on Friday described the proposed budget for fiscal 2019-20 a budget as aiming to bring welfare for all.

She said all parties will work for its implementation.

“All parties will work together to implement the budget,” Hasina was quoted as saying by The Daily Star newspaper in a post-budget press conference.

“We will take stern action against the wilful loan defaulters to bring discipline to the financial sector,”  she said.

In a rare event in the history of the country, Hasina appeared before such press conference for the first time as nation's Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal is ill.

This was the first budget presented by the Awami League since the party won the polls and formed the government for a third straight term.
