Airstrike in Afghanistan kills five Islamic State terrorists

Kabul, Aug 24 (IBNS): An airstrike conducted by foreign forces in eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan left five Islamic State terrorists killed, media reports said.

A statement from the 201st Silab Military Corps received by Pajhwok Afghan News said that a US drone aircraft targeted Daesh (another name by which IS militant group is called) insurgents in Narang and Manogi districts of Kunar late on Thursday.

The source told the news agency that five militants were killed in the incident.  

No civilian was injured in the incident.

Islamic State has not commented on the issue so far.
