Kabul/IBNS: The Taliban in Afghanistan have imposed new restrictions in the war-torn south Asian country by which women will not be allowed to appear in television dramas.

Female journalists and presenters have also been directed to wear headscarves on screen, although the guidelines do not say which type of covering to use, reports BBC.

According to the BBC report, some of the rules are vague and subject to interpretation.

The Taliban forced themselves to power in Afghanistan in August.

There has been fear that the Taliban would impose harsh restrictions gradually in the country.

The Taliban group after seizing the power immediately instructed girls and young women to stay home from school.
