According to a statement released by Afghanistan's Ministry of Interior, the woman was abducted by an individual identified as Najib who had met her in Germany, reported Khaama Press.

"No further details have been given regarding the identity of the woman who has been released from her captive but MoI added that Najib had lured the victim to Kabul after meeting her in Germany," reported the Afghanistan-based news agency.

The police launched an operation to free the woman from Bagrami district of Kabul province.
