Afghanistan: Road mishap kills five in Nangarhar province

Kabul, May 8 (IBNS): At least five people were killed in a car crash on Jalalabad-Torkham highway in Rodat district of eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan on Tuesday, media reports said.

The mishap left seven others injured.

Nangarhar governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the accident took place when two Corolla model cars collided in Surkh Diwal area around 7am this morning.

The injured people were shifted to Jalalabad Zonal Hospital for treatment.

Khogyani said the condition of the injured people were stable.
