Afghanistan : Drone strike target ISIS vehicle leaving at least 7 dead

Kabul, Dec 12 (IBNS) : The U.S. forces carried out an airstrike targeting a vehicle of ISIS Khurasan militants in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.

Local Khaama Press quoted the Afghan Military as saying  in a statement  that

the airstrike was carried out in the vicinity of Chaparhar district.

The statement further added that the vehicle was targeted as it was travelling in Gazak area, leaving at least seven militants dead.

According to 201st Silab Corps, the hatchback vehicle which was carrying ISIS militants was also destroyed in the airstrike.

The anti-government armed militant and terrorist groups including ISIS loyalists have not commented regarding the airstrike so far.

This comes as ground operations and airstrikes are underway in some restive districts of Nangahrar province against the militant and terrorist groups.
